Yes. Now you can change your password. To change your password, go to the configuration page for your guestbook. A new field has been added to the General section which will allow you to enter a new password for your guestbook. Please type your new password correctly, because if you disabled password e-mailing, there will be no way to get it back. Since password e-mailing and changing are now enabled, all requests for passwords and password changes will be ignored.
A link to e-mail your password to you has been added to the login page, so you can simply click the link that says e-mail my password, and your password will be sent to the e-mail address you specified when you signed up for your guestbook.
I know. I've had mine e-mailed to me several times too many as well. A checkbox will soon be added to the configuration page to allow you to specifically disable password e-mailing. Until then, you can disable it by checking off the box in the miscellaneous section that says "Don't Include Me In Mailings."
There are two answers to that question, and they contradict each other a bit. First, and perhaps more importantly because of the above answers, it must be a password you will remember. Second, it should be a password that no one else will guess. It helps to include both numbers and letters. Since they are harder to remember, we don't suggest using symbols. |
